Welcome to our December newsletter
It’s all about how far we’ve come, where we are going, and how we will get there, and you our inspiring TetraMap community!
At the start of the year our keywords were Courage and Kindness and there has been no shortage of either. You have all continued to courageously strive to build a better world and a stronger community – something very evident in our ‘25 in 25’ celebrations – and we thank you wholeheartedly.
We recently rounded off our 25 year events with a ‘one world’ global online celebration where Managing Director, Madelize Bekker, reflected on her first year in the role and revealed plans for TetraMap’s next chapter:
“I never cease to be amazed at the diversity, openness, creativity and enthusiasm of our TetraMap community. It’s been an exciting year with so much positive energy created in our 25-year celebrations!
“Looking ahead, we know that everything we build at TetraMap is designed to deepen the human connection that sits at our heart. TetraMap is about people, it is relational – it opens conversations and creates belonging – it helps people see and accept themselves and see each other more clearly.
“TetraMap continues to grow, and with growth comes responsibility. As we plan ahead for the next 25 years, we are taking great care to make sure we grow safely. At an organisational level one of the key aspects is to strengthen our global governance. This will see a strengthened statuary board, the creation of a regional partners network, and a Global Advisory Board which will draw on the wisdom from our diverse cultures.
“Most importantly, it is not about hierarchy. Like the tetrahedron, no-one sits at the top and we all hold the structure together. We will grow in a relational global community that will be led by contribution rather than control. TetraMap grows where relationships grow and it is people who build trust. We will continue our investment in people – learning and training for facilitators and the next generation.
“Our facilitators are the heartbeat of this community and the ones that carry TetraMap into every room. It is their guardianship that will carry us forward. We thank you all for your courage and generosity and look forward to taking TetraMap forward with the same spirit that got us here – together, connected and inspired by nature.”

The TetraMap team look forward to sharing our plans in more detail next year but in the meantime, whether you are looking forward to Christmas, Hannukah, Las Posadas, winter solstice, or plain old December – we hope it brings togetherness, gratitude, and community.
