Welcome to our November newsletter and this month we bring you our simple guide to the latest TetraPanel updates, news of our exciting new forum where you can help shape the future of TetraMap, a look back at a year of TetraMap major highlights, and we celebrate some of our ‘amplifiers’ – those long standing TetraMap facilitators who have gone above and beyond to spread the word.
We’ve listened to your feedback and improved the TetraPanel once again with some new clever tricks to really appeal to the data kings and queens among you! It’s smart – but it is all a bit techie – so if you don’t share a passion for detail we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to make the changes clear.
TetraMap’s reach around the world continues, and it’s time to create our vision for the next 25 years! This will include an exciting new Global Advisory Board, where YOU will have the opportunity to help shape the future of TetraMap. Coming soon – and we give you a sneak preview.
As we continue to mark our 25th year we look at some of the fantastic milestones – new territories, a whole raft of newly certified facilitators and master facilitators, and the impact of a groundbreaking new programme.
And celebrating our ‘amplifiers’ – this issue we take a closer look at this key role and the influence they can have on the growth of TetraMap.
The next global Community Meet Up will be 27 January 2026 – save the date!

It’s been a big year for TetraMap International, and after celebrating a quarter century, the question was how do we look forward to the next chapter? Behind the scenes at TetraMap central we have been hard at work formulating our new strategy which will take us up to 2030.
As ever, our success depends on you – our community – and as part of our future plans we have formed a Global Advisory Board which will bring together voices from around the world to shape our shared future to the statutory boards of TetraMap International (NZ) and TetraMap UK.
TetraMap International Managing Director, Madelize Bekker, said: “We will be looking for volunteers to join us to provide insight, foresight, and feedback to guide decisions. Ideally, experienced TetraMap Facilitators, Master Facilitators, industry experts or long-term collaborators with a depth of knowledge from diverse contexts — education, business, leadership, sustainability, or community development.
“With such a diverse community it’s also important we have a balanced representation across regions, cultures, and sectors.”
This is an unpaid role and members will be asked to participate in four (quarterly) virtual meetings per year, contribute to specific working circles where relevant, and to help review strategic documents or initiatives.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Global Advisory Board, please email madelize@tetramap.com by 5 December 2025 with your Expression of Interest and keep an eye out for more information on our LinkedIn page and via a dedicated bulletin going out shortly.
People with experience, heart, and commitment to TetraMap’s purpose:
Some of you will have already noticed the new features added to TetraPanel, specially designed with increased organisational management, enhanced data handling, and smarter insights.
Here’s our quick guide to the most Frequently Asked Questions about the new features:
How do I decide the best way to set up my account? Why, or when, you would choose to create another organisation?
We’ve made changes to our organisations section so facilitators can work in the right way for them. Whether you work for yourself or for multiple organisations you can set up your account in the best way to suit you. For example, it is now much easier if you are a freelance facilitator who does not share data but works with organisations, or anyone working in a large corporate with teams of internal and external facilitators. One major change is that tokens are now assigned to an organisation so it is possible to be part of a company but still have your own personal organisation. Because of this change, if you want your token pool to be in one place with all your groups, you can have a single organisation. It may be useful to create multiple organisations if you want tokens to be assigned to companies separately. Our short video explains more.
I manage a large team of facilitators in my organisation and it can be very time consuming to organise everything on the TetraPanel. How will the new features help?
You can now browse and search results across all groups within each organisation — a huge time-saver for large team! Facilitators can also easily be added to or removed from an organisation, plus you can now share tokens across your organisation making resource management simpler and fairer. As an admin you can reassign facilitators to groups with ease.
We have been using TetraMap for a few years now and have a lot of users. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of lists and groups. Will the changes help us manage this?
You will now be able to manage lists of over 100 users as well as making selections across multiple pages effortlessly. When collating group data, you will see that group averages automatically adjust – first showing all results, then recalculating for selected items. This means you can now get the results in the format you want. Another helpful feature is to quickly see full element names and quantities on profiles – for example Earth 32, Air 16, etc – instead of letters only which offers greater clarity for discussions.
The TetraPanel stores a lot of data and it can be a bit overwhelming when you want to narrow things down. Is there an easy way to sort results?
We have made some simple improvements that now include a powerful filtering and sorting feature. This lets you quickly find patterns or trends across your data. Columns can be filtered to sort by date, name, or any element score which means that you can see only what matters — such as all Earth or all Fire results. So, for example, you also now have the option to collate and divide your results data into subgroups.
A new key element is the ability to move results from one group to another after users have completed an instrument. This powerful feature will not change language or the booklet they received, but their results will appear in the group assigned along with all the others. Even better, it means admins can move them in or out of groups as many times as they like.
How did YOU get to hear about TetraMap? Was it recommended, demonstrated in a workshop, introduced as a new and exciting learning experience?
However you came to TetraMap, we can guarantee somewhere along the line you will be connected to one of our ‘amplifiers’ – the long established and passionate facilitators who have been quietly helping to grow the TetraMap community for more than 20 years.
The verb amplify means to crank up the volume. Speakers amplify, or raise, the volume of the noise coming through a microphone so that everyone at the music concert can hear.
Amplify comes from the old French word amplifier meaning ‘to enlarge or expand’. It refers to making a sound expand, but it can also crank up something like a disagreement or it can enlarge an idea.
Louise Duncan, Global Brand Ambassador, explains:
“In the context of TetraMap, facilitators enlarge the idea of improving communication, understanding behaviour, increasing collaboration and reducing conflict, by sharing the Why Are You Like That? process with clients, colleagues and communities.”
“Indirectly, and through social media in particular, amplification happens when facilitators – or clients or participants – share their learning and insights publicly. This elevates the reach for everyone. It promotes the TetraMap brand in the context of a learning experience, showcases the work of the facilitator with an engaged group, builds new connections and generates interest from new prospects.”
“When sharing publicly—with permission and privacy always respected—this indirect approach truly matters. We’d like to recognize and appreciate all the amplifiers in our community and across the world. Your voice matters to us. We have a brand with a purpose that can help many more, and you’re helping us reach them. Thank you.”
Three direct ways of amplification:
We will be sharing stories from some of our long-standing amplifiers in the coming months to give you some tips.

It’s been an exciting year for TetraMap International – three celebration events in three different countries, an online global celebration event, as well as a continued certification programme of more than a hundred new facilitators. And remarkably, we have moved into more new territories than ever before thanks to our dedicated Master TetraMap Facilitators around the globe.
This year sixteen Certification Courses have been held around the globe – some in person, some digital – and one hundred and twenty-three new Certified TetraMap Facilitators have been welcomed into the community. Three of the courses were held in-house, which demonstrates an encouraging commitment to TetraMap within large organisations.
Southeast Asia saw great growth this year with Indonesia coming on as a new territory and certification courses held in Vietnam and Myanmar. Singapore continues to inspire new facilitators and certification courses.
Madelize Bekker, TetraMap International’s Managing Director, was keen to support professionals in Vietnam to deliver TetraMap in their own language: “I believe accessibility means meeting people where they are – on their terms, in their language. That’s why I was excited to certify eight new Associate TetraMap Facilitators in Vietnam who brought this powerful model, tool, framework and approach to communities beyond the boardrooms of multinational companies.
“We had teachers, students, professionals supporting orphanages, and those working with vulnerable communities – all committed to making a difference where it matters most. Everything TetraMap is about!”
And thanks to Master Facilitator Olive Strachan, TetraMap now has certified facilitators in Dominica in the Caribbean. Olive is celebrating 30 years’ experience of working in HR, and held her first certification course in Dominica this summer – destined to be the first of many!
The big news in learning and development this year was the launch of the new TetraMap of Leadership certification with three cohorts in 2025. Thirty-two people have now advanced their TetraMap career and reached a new level of skills in leadership. The programme will be running throughout 2026 starting in February and the second one beginning in June with dedicated dates for each time zone. If you are thinking of taking the next steps to up your leadership skills next year and would like to know more, please contact emma@tetramap.com.
