Move over Greta Thunberg! Meet Anya Bukholt-Payne, a young passionate and influential Kiwi leader who's tackling climate challenge head on through schools...with a little help from her friends ... and TetraMap.

Taking climate education to schools requires passion and skills!

19 year old Anya founded Climate Challenge education initiative just 3 years ago. She explains how the support and skills she has received from a local TetraMap facilitator has enabled her to grow the tiny organisation into a movement that has built momentum through young people. 

 At the heart of any change is education. Anya explains how TetraMap has been a powerful ally in helping her begin to realise her dream – a future for new generations.

The Climate Challenge Conference is a celebration of Aotearoa’s diverse young leaders, innovators and change-makers who are steeping up to face the greatest challenge of our generation – climate change. Since 2016 The Climate Challenge has been running conferences for high school aged youth. These are spaces for young people to share ideas, develop skills, build connections and co-create solutions on climate justice to take back to their communities.
