What can the vital forces of earth, air, water and fire teach us about being human in a more-than-human world? How can a deeper understanding of Nature’s elements make us better TetraMap facilitators and help us contribute to the systemic change that is essential for the future of people and planet?
People across the globe have used the four elements as a model to make sense of the world for thousands of years (and TetraMap is just one example of this). This programme is a unique opportunity to delve deeper into our understanding of the elements – not as metaphor, model, or framework, but as powerful forces of change and regeneration that create our life support system, underpinning the existence of all living beings.
As humankind continues to push beyond the limits of our planet, the elements are beginning to push back and so we need to develop a humble, curious, ever-evolving understanding and awareness of the elements if we are to live and work in a way that supports and regenerates life.
This programme will explore each element and the connections between them, generating profound insights that will deepen your understanding of yourself and your interconnection with the web of life and support you to make a positive difference through working with Nature’s elements.
More specifically we’ll consider:
What can the vital forces of earth, air, water and fire teach us about being human in a more-than-human world?
The nature of the elements: Their interconnectedness, their role in the existence of all life, and their power to create, shape, destroy and heal.
What role does each element play in our internal and external world?
What is our own personal relationship with each element and how does this benefit or damage ourselves, others, and the rest of life on our fragile planet?
How can we foster a more elemental way of living, in ourselves and in others, in order to contribute to the recovery of life on our planet?
How will the programme benefit you as a TetraMap Facilitator?
